RB's Stage 32 News, Notes, Discussions, and Other Fun Stuff (September 12th, 2014)

Posted by Richard "RB" Botto
Another week in the books...Welcome to the weekend.

In this edition of the Weekend Blog, I have a very cool look back at the life of Joan Rivers as 24 of her famous friends construct an oral history for The Hollywood Reporter.  Also under Entertainment News, want to live a Bill Murray life?  Bill Murray will tell you how.  Plus, a report that states in no uncertain terms that TV is for old people, Barry Levinson declares that Rain Man wouldn't get made today, some actors are having a big year on both the screen and stage, some big news out of the Toronto Film Festival, Warner Bros announces big layoffs, David Letterman escapes an intern lawsuit and much, much more.

You guys were extremely active in the Lounge this week.  The conversations were flowing fast and furious.  I've highlighted over 60 of the best and most active.  No better time than the present to join the conversation.

Additionally, the Stage 32 Meetups forming around the globe around our 3 year anniversary are gaining steam.  You can see them all under the Stage 32 Meetup section below.

Under TIPS, I have some cool screenwriting and cinematography guides, plus one minute of acting advice from Robert De Niro.  And under VIDEOS, trailers for the new seasons of American Horror Story and Homeland, 250 seconds that will re-ignite the passion in any filmmaker or screenwriter, and Al Pacino's favorite Al Pacino movies.

Feel free to discuss any and all in the Comments section below.

Have a fabulous weekend!
