Pay would be required by any of the categories you've indicated.. You need to be careful when advertising for a producer. Before they'll even take an interest they will want what is called a collaboration fee $3,500.00 - $5,000.00 with no guarantees.. My advice, get the screenplay done, register it and get it out to festivals and pitches on the Stage.
