"The girl with the electric smile," Katie Keenan is an actress, improviser, comedienne, writer, and excitable person currently living in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a graduate of the iO improv training program, the Second City Conservatory, and took classes 1-3 at the Annoyance as well. Most recently, she was featured in Kathryn Upside Down, an independent feature film where she plays a hilarious and goofy police officer.
She lived in Chicago for 6 years during which she performed, wrote, produced, directed, and generally worked all of the time. Some of her film credits include: One Day at a Time (Winner of the Audience Award at Take 1 Film Festival at Columbia College Chicago), and a short called Snoop Dogg Wants to See Your B@**s with the funny folks of Big-Little Comedy. Some recent stage work includes sketch shows Genes That Don’t Fit, Rahm Zombie (endorsed by NBC Chicago!), and Love, Security, and Other Mythical Creatures with Donny’s Skybox and the Second City Training Center, and Plaza Suite as Norma with Sheil Park Theatre.
She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) and double majored in English and Dramatic Arts. There, she performed in many productions, including Reefer Madness: The Musical! as Mae and The Man Who Came to Dinner as a very funny but creepy Harriet. She often reminds people of Christina Hendricks, Amy Adams, and Jenna Fischer.
Unique traits: Red hair, great smile, blue/gray eyes, fair skin, singer, comedienne.
