About Katie

Katie Humphrey is the award-winning screenwriter for "Elizabeth Hazel and the Day of Destiny," an adaptation of her YA novel (Aperture Press) that was used as curriculum in the English department at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. Larry Winget, NYT/WSJ best-selling author said, “I just finished the book and am absolutely incredulous at how captivating the story is.”

"Elizabeth Hazel and the Day of Destiny" has received several awards including the 2019 Official Selection for the Highlands Film Festival, the 2017 winner of the Creative World Awards "Creative Concept," the 2017 Official Selection for the Orlando Film Festival, and the 2017 Honorable Mention for the Los Angeles Movie Awards.

Katie has experience as a professional speaker and lecturer and hold a Bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing.
