My name is Dylan and I’ve been in the military for over 11 years. However, I am trying to start on an acting career. I took 4 semesters of theater in high school but outside of that I have not done anything else. Any help/suggestions (especially in the San Diego/LA area) with getting started would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I would always suggest some training. It wouldn't need to be Formal, 3-yerar schooling, it could be 'drop in' classes augmented with some self-education, but it is a skill set that is needs learning.

I would start with training where you live, it will be less expensive. Search on the kind of training that each one does to see if there's a fit for you.
