Audrey, I made mine myself. If your videos are on youtube, just google Download videos form YouTube. As long as you have the rights to use them. From there just import them into Windows Movie Maker. It's a pretty easy to use movie maker. Add in your transitions, save it, export it and you're good to go.
You need good content for a good reel... Watch others you like save the link, show an editor what you like about it and either trade content or cash whip for the footage. Editing is not something that happens with just transitions and knowing which button to use to cut or add footage. There are rests, cutting on action, background, title cards, etc. Your reel is your store front.

I checked one company in LA ; it cost around $1400 which is expensive
