The latest Demon Slayer film, Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle, is taking over the Japanese box office, setting records for opening day, single-day, and even IMAX gross. And it’s only just begun.
This is the first in a planned three-film arc, and in just four days it’s already become the #2 highest-grossing film of the year in Japan with $49.6M+ in revenue and over 5.1 million admissions.

For those of you working in animation or developing long-form stories, it’s incredible (and inspiring) to see how global audiences are showing up for serialized, emotionally rich storytelling, especially in this format.
Are you watching Infinity Castle? What do you think makes this franchise so successful: story, character, animation style, worldbuilding, or something else?

Ashley Renee Smith my sister just introduced me into Demon Slayer. I'm not too sure what makes it so popular but it is a common animation in the industry to watch.

I need to catch up on the last season. I might even rewatch it and study it. I like the series, but I am not certain what makes it stand out so much among the fans.
