I’m an Indie Filmmaker and voracious reader to improve as a filmmaker and I’m currently developing a film noir to shoot as my next film. This book has been invaluable because I didn’t go to film school but it’s very informative. I also recommend it for the casual reader or film aficionado. It’s really a beautifully crafted book! On top of that you can watch many of these classics on Tubi which I’ve done to deepen my research.
