It is a good camera. You're right, most people talk about Canon. What makes good cinematography has more to do with the lighting and the skill and experience of the person than the camera.
Kiam - Nikon video is incredibly underrated. I've had the D5200 a few years now, they have the same sensor, and it can make stunning quality. I've had a film projected at a full size movie theater and it looks great!
I guess because I started on canon is why I leaned towards canon. Whenever I had Nikon footage it was really bad but that just could have been because of the operator. But with how canon isn't keeping up with how technology is moving. I'm definitely looking more into the Sony cameras.
