One thing I learned about in the film industry is to get the boards out. Working with a director on a film, he mentioned that the cinematographer needed the storyboards in advance so he could start preparing the shots. Something I learned on the job and that was always in the back of mind when I worked on other jobs for other filmmakers. Such was working on the film CLASSIC by filmmaker Michelle Hoffman. The film was selected for the Silicon Beach Film Festival. Here is the film poster with one of my boards. You can see the contrast between my storyboards and the actual close up shot in the film. You can even see how it was lit too. Just sharing this in the lounge and as a storyboard artist, I learn a lot about lighting and framing from cinematographers. Have a great day, everyone and keep making movies!

Hi, Maurice. Hope you had a great weekend. Not that I can think of regarding problems with boards. Always save your work online, study/watch films to see the transition of shots and understand lighting and framing. And know how to draw. Boards do have to be perfect renderings, just something that film directors and cinematographers need in advance for preproduction.
