Ahoy, cinematogs! Our camera kit includes a number of body and ship mounted GoPro 12 and 13 cams. These little beauties generate super saturated, and stabilised *.mp4 footage which leaves editorial with little room for grading. I note the GoPro's have a log option. Anyone work with it? Tips? Tricks? Advice, muchly appreciated.

Earlier versions of the Hero allowed for a flat color profile and lower sharpening adjustments within the settings to get more CG-friendly footage. I did this with a Hero 4 for one of my documentaries.
See if these steps help you:
1. Switch to Pro Controls:
On the rear LCD screen, swipe down to access the settings menu and ensure you are using "Pro Controls" instead of "Easy Controls".
2. Access Video Settings:
Tap on the "Preferences" icon, then navigate to "Video".
3. Set 10-Bit and High Bit Rate:
Ensure your "Bit Depth" is set to "10-Bit" and your "Bit Rate" is set to "High". This is crucial for capturing the maximum amount of color information for grading.
4. Select Flat Color Profile:
From the main screen, press and hold the "Preset Pill" (where you can select Standard, HDR, and Log). Tap on "Video Profile" and select the "Flat" option.
