There might be other scores that made me fall in love with film music, but the Jaws score is definitely one of them.

For me, it was two. The James Horner score for Titanic. That score is not the most complex score but the harmonic and more the melodic content is what moved me. I’m a melody guy at heart. And of course the John Williams scores for Star Wars A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back.

I was just speaking to myself about this. Favorite scores ? Jerry Goldsmith with ‘Warlock’ and ‘Poltergeist’. Christopher Young with ‘Hellraiser’. Sergio Leone. Bill Lee’s score for ‘Shes Gotta Have It’ and ‘Do The Right Thing’ were all phenomenal.

Probably that would be Cinema Paradiso or Once Upon A Time In America. I love Morricone.

Jermar Jerome Smith yea, Jerry Goldsmiths early scores like his atonal score to Planet of the Apes, In Harms Way, and China Town were spectacular too!

Will check them others out.

Schindler's List, and later on Sherlock Holmes. As I often say, I'm a violinist and I think these scores spoke to me

Hannah Woolmer Yes, Itzhak Perlman what a talent, and he played so masterfully and soulfully on the Theme from Schindler’s List, and so many more tracks from that score!!

Mark Gosney Perlman is such an amazing violinist and that score is heartbreaking
