Do you ever find yourself writing songs based upon memories? I wrote a song titled Grocery Store Chorus Girls. It is based upon a memory of walking through Charleston, South Carolina more than 40 years ago. I was walking through one day and saw a large fading wooden sign propped up against a closed shop. The sign said Grocery Store Chorus Girls. I had no idea then what it meant and no more idea then. So, do you ever draw on memories when creating a song?
