Hi everyone, I hope this is the right place to post this…
I'm a composer with a deep passion for cinematic storytelling and I'm currently looking to collaborate with independent filmmakers on their upcoming projects. I'm especially interested in narrative short films, indie features, or any visually creative work that could benefit from original music.
If you know of any reliable places—online or offline—where filmmakers are actively looking for composers, I'd love to hear about them. I'm hoping to connect with directors who see music and sound as essential parts of storytelling.
I'm open to passion projects or any opportunity that allows me to contribute and grow as an artist.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, connections, or advice!

Hi, Luca Marino. Welcome to the community. Stage 32 has a blog that'll help you navigate the platform and connect with creatives and industry professionals all over the world. Directors, producers, actors, animators, and more. www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-successfully-navigate-the-stage-32-platform-...
And Stage 32’s next Community Open House is happening on October 29th (www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32-s-october-community-open-hou...). It's free, and it'll help you navigate Stage 32 and connect with creatives and industry pros.
I suggest using a photo of yourself as your profile picture. People will feel more comfortable networking and collaborating with you if they know what you look like. You can upload a picture by clicking the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and selecting “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu, then clicking the red button underneath your location and choosing "Update profile picture."
Stage 32 has a Job Board that gets updated regularly (www.stage32.com/find-jobs).

I think first step is to update your profile with a headshot and link to your website with work (even samples you made for fun). There are many independent directors looking to collaborate. If you have no professional experience, copy / credit gigs are a starting point.

Hi, Luca Marino. I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. Stage 32 is an English platform. Do you mind translating your comment to English?

Thank you very much for the advice! In fact, I am working on making my profile more complete, and I am preparing a selection of tracks to share. Do you have any suggestions for specific platforms or online groups where directors post calls for collaborators? I am also interested in small communities or local networks. And if you know of any successful examples of “copy/credit concerts,” I would be curious to learn more.
You're welcome, Luca Marino. I suggest checking out Stage 32's Job Board. Directors post there. And Stage 32 has in-person Meetups (www.stage32.com/meetups). They're great for networking. If you don't see a Meetup in your area, you could start your own.
