These are all great ways to gain real life experience and get to know the behind the scenes prep that goes into taking a script and breaking it down, planning shots and more to answer questions, figure out with all departments what will be needed. A great prep makes for a wonderful shoot. But there's a lot of details to take care of as an Assistant Director and Director as these are the ones leading the cast and crew to a successful shoot. Any of these seminars will just add and help when it's time to make your movie. Also as a writer, it helps to know what goes into taking your script into production.
