I created a new FB group called BLOCKCHAIN & ENTERTAINMENT, where the influence, use and application of blockchain tech for films and much more can be discussed. This is such a huge topic that it needs its own group. Lots of prominent indie filmmakers on there already.
Anyone interested in this topic is free to join the private
group...thanks.

With respect... no. I have worked with filmmakers, coders and distributors for years on this and there is literally nothing that I can see to which it applies. Since the advent of bitcoin in 2008 and Ethereum in 2014, every month or so (literally) someone decides that crypto technology is the future of film finance and DRM. Typically by people who don't have a deep understanding of blockchain or film. The fact is, there is literally nothing blockchain can do to address challenges in film/tv finance or rights, and the things blockchain does well are not issues in this industry. Like transactional security... literally not an issues, ever, especially in raising money. Unless you are talking about using it to sell shares to the public and then you are raising more legal minefields than anyone can navigate. The permanent nature of the block chain applied to copyright transfers and sales of media, in the idea you can track royalties, profits, etc is impractical and even creates extra work on many levels and assumes that all actors in the system agree on what should be tracked, when and why, and are willing to use the technology.

I have to echo Shadow's comment. If something needs to be described to the general public with smoke and mirrors, it feels off. To me, crypto, NFTs, blockchain -- all can't be described in simple language.

Shadow Dragu-Mihai, Esq., Ipg I LOVE it. I actually think there is more merit in an MLM product than crypto and NFTs. At least with the MLM, you might receive an actual physical product. However, the slimy marketing is the same.

Shadow Dragu-Mihai, Esq., Ipg Don't get me started on ChatGPT. It's for lazy writers who are itching for a lawsuit.

Debbie Elicksen By definition, ChatCPT brings forward the lowest common, most often used data and patterns. In writing, that guarantees the most overused, hackneyed unoriginal and cliche stories and ideas. So a smart writer uses it to find out what is awful or overused and to be avoided. A writer who finds anything "original" in there is pretty much by definition poorly educated and unaccomplished.
I'm stealing your quote for the brainwashed Musk-ovites who keep thinking this will be their ticket to greatness.
