A Saturday Afternoon

Hello to all. This is the link http://igg.me/p/74131?a=297089 for the indiegogo funraising campain for a silent short film. Please check it out, share it on your walls and help spread the word so we can reach our goal and make it happen. In the link you'll see a short interview with all the details of the movie and in a few days we'll upload a promo photoshoot of the actors. We count on everyone's help so please spread the word.

If we'll manage to make it to our goal, there will be no profits. The expenses are way too many (costumes, rents, fees for indiegogo, cost for the promos etc). If in any case you'd like to make a further arrangement with us (considering you'd want to invest a serious amount) then we could talk further more.

I think an important note to add is that IndieGoGo is mainly used for crowd funding which means that most people that donate through this site are aware that they are not getting any money back for it and they just want to support a film and see it made. So on this basis your current IndieGoGo pitch doesn't need a sales agent and distributor attached to it. However, if you are planning to raise money by contacting possible (private) investors then I would indeed also recommend finding a distributor for the film because investors will want to make money out of this. But again, IndieGoGo focusses mainly on crowd funding (friends, family etc).

Good point. The main reason a lot of us are putting out IndieGoGo pitch on this site is because it sometimes helps getting the attention from other film makers on this site who are interested in helping on the production side of things. For instance, I have also added my link to several film networking pages on Facebook and it attracted the attention of two other people who contacted me to find out if I still need any additional production crew members. And I am currently still in talks to see if they can help me out in other ways to make this film happen. I can't speak for others but for me, putting the IndieGoGo link on this site has helped give the film more exposure and got me in touch with some interesting people.

The main reason i put out IndieGoGo pitch on this site is because i expect fellow artists to support the cause by sharing the link on their social network account and help spreading the word. I dont neccesarily expect them to support it financially - though sometimes this might happen as well, i did it in the past for something i believed in. It's not bad to help each other in any way we possibly can.
