Hi everyone, not been online for a while and although I have kept up the writing, I am chuffed to say I have just directed my first low budget horror short. It was an amazing experience and had a great producer, cameraman and sound. We are now moving to post and am on the lookout for an editor and composer who would be willing to get involved with this project. Also prepping for my next short which hope to shoot in the next couple of months. Keep working on what you love. Cheers David

Hi, David Webbley. Congratulations on directing your first low-budget Horror short!
I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Introduce Yourself Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge. You can talk about the shorts in your introduction post, but you need to introduce/reintroduce yourself to the community. You could check out other posts in the Introduce Yourself Lounge to get ideas for your introduction post. Let me know if you have any questions.
You could make a post on the Job Board for an editor and composer (www.stage32.com/find-jobs).
Looking forward to seeing the short!

I’d advise you to try editing it yourself. Resolve is a free program. At least do the first pass, then you can bring in another editor. It’s the best way to learn how filmmaking works, gives you a chance to make decisions about when to cut, what coverage to use and when. Then if you have another editor do it better, you can learn from that.
