Introduce Yourself : Do you have a book that you want to publish? Maybe I can help you. by William Parker

William Parker

Do you have a book that you want to publish? Maybe I can help you.

I was cruising along in the grove, writing my novels and sending them off to my publisher when WHAM! I got hit right between the eyes. After many years with Double Dragon Press, they went out of business and sold the imprint. I was devastated. I didn't know what to do. My books were pulled from Amazon, and I was forced to start over from scratch. I regained all of my publishing rights, but then what?

So, I picked myself back up and put on my big boy pants. I learned how to publish my books my own damned self. I learned how to get my books edited and make my books into eBooks, paperbacks, and hard covers. I learned how to format the interiors and design the covers. I even managed to find a professional narrator and put all of my books on Audible.Com. I also got some serious help along the way with marketing.

Am I bragging? Hell no. It was a tough, uphill battle against impossible odds. I put in a lot of hard, frustrating hours and burned the midnight oil, but I came out the other side.

There's no reason for you to go through the same battle that I fought. I would be glad to help you learn how to do it yourself.

Now I am bragging... I got so good at it that Amazon put me into their pilot program to publish hard covers. My books were the first to market in that format.

Again, that being said, I would be happy to point you along the path to learn this for yourself. Are you caught in the middle and don't know where to turn next? Give me a shout. Maybe I can help.

Interesting story, William. I have a children's picture book that I'm sending out currently. I'd prefer the traditional publishing route. Maybe you have some thoughts.
