Hi all,
I've just joined the site and wanted to introduce myself as I'm keen to network and make connections.
I'm Justin Woolley and have been a professional published author for around ten years. I'm the author of the Australian set dystopian trilogy The Territory Series consisting of the novels A Town Called Dust, A City Called Smoke and A World of Ash. This series has been described as Mad Max meets The Walking Dead. I'm also the author of the science-fiction comedy series Shakedowners which now consists of four novels and is a love letter to Star Trek, Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett. I also add to the darkness of the 41st millennium by writing Warhammer 40k fiction for Black Library.
I have been pursuing screenwriting for several years as well and now have a number of completed scripts under my belt including some that have done well in competitions such as the Final Draft Big Break. I'm looking to find connections into the industry. I'm based in Hobart, Australia so a long way from the hustle of LA.
If you have any advice about how to find representation or connect with industry professionals to find opportunities to have my work read I'd love to hear it!
Thanks,
Justin
