Hi! My name is Robert Kirkendall III as you can hopefully tell from my profile haha. I am a film student currently, and I am just looking for some filmmaker to talk to and help grow with. I am willing to show some of the short films that I've made so far while in school and I'd love to see work for anyone who is interested in working together and growing together as filmmakers. Thank you so much! I'm really looking forward to all the interactions I'm going to have on here!
Hey, Robert Kirkendall III! Welcome to the community! Congrats on your foray into film school! How are you enjoying it so far? My own film school experience was quite transformational, but I know plenty of people who are disappointed with theirs as well.
Have you checked out the Filmmaking Lounge? I think you'll find more than a few conversations there that you'll find helpful on your journey! https://www.stage32.com/lounge/directing You may also enjoy meeting like-minded creatives in the Cinematography Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/cinematography) and the Post-Production Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/post_production).
Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:

If you're looking to connect with members near you, you could search for people based on location here: https://www.stage32.com/people You could also host a meet-up and share it here: https://www.stage32.com/meetups Have you ever done a 48-Hour Film Festival? It could be a great way to assemble a team and get straight to work.
Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect!
Hi, nice to see you here. I’m not going to call myself a filmmaker per se more a comedic snippet maker. Also I don’t expect that anyone would cast me as an actor as I have the perfect face for radio. I would love to share a few snippets that I made for fun to crack people up, just let me know if you are interested in seeing them.
I’m here as a content provider with no aspiration for actually being in a movie. Having said that I would love to collaborate with filmmakers on projects.
Welcome!
Leah
