So I joined the site a long time ago and made a few connections, but it seemed like it mostly went nowhere, mainly because no one from my area had joined. Now, it seems there are a few from my area, so I'm going to give it another whirl. Hi, my name is Tim. I'm 45, a lover of science fiction (and science) and I really enjoy watching movies and writing. A few years ago (maybe 10 or more now?) I decided to become a screenwriter. I've written a few scripts, but nothing that's ever been sold or made into anything. Again, not many people in this area to connect with and make that happen. I don't care about the fame and fortune part of it. I'm just writing stories I find interesting and hopefully, one day, I'll see them on the big screen.

Tim: RB, is right. This community is very giving. You can post a question in the lounge and dozens come to your rescued, so to speak. What's important is that you write and write everyday, for ten, twenty, thirty minutes, but do it. Because is by writing and reading screenplays in your preferred genre, that you will improve and grow as a screenwriter. Once you have four, five screenplays, purchase development notes or invest in consulting from professionals who will give you "constructive criticism" and then you can start pitching that script once is airtight, error proof. Stage 32 is the best place to start. But one important thing is patience, one step at a time is my own advice to myself and I hope it helps you.
