Our names are Dorien & Evelien Verheyen, a screenwriting duo from Belgium with 2 projects currently in Pre-Production (on in Belgium, one in New York). We've have been writing together for over a decade and have been a duo since conception; we didn't really have a choice in the matter, that's just the way we turned out. We also work together with Twenty-Four Productions in Los Angeles, California. As heads of their marketing and social outreach program for the short film “2500 km”, which will start filming in July of 2015. In the little time we take off from “The Pen”, we love geeking out after having just met or interviewed our favorite people at comic cons (we also run a highly succesful Sci-Fi website) , volunteering at a theater, interviewing people or writing articles While not formally trained at a four-year college program, we did take the necessary steps towards self-training the art of screenwriting by taking courses with the Gotham Writing School, joining workshops and masterclasses, reading a lot of books and attending Q&A panels of our favorite writers. Hi there Evelien and Doreen, what a great story! I work with my brother too in my biz. Not quite as close, as he works in Nashville on our company but it makes the work so much nicer to have a chance to speak with him daily!
Hi Stephanie, working with your siblings can be both a blessing and a curse at the same time, can't it?
