In collaboration with the late tennis star and WWII spy Alice Marble, I wrote her life story, Courting Danger, published by St. Martin's Press in 1990. It's been under option almost constantly since then, but hasn't made it to the screen. It's not under option now, so I've decided to have a go at writing the screenplay.

Alice was quite a character. She overcame a lot to become the world's No. 1 tennis player, and had a lot of personal losses in her life. She was friends with celebrities like Clark Gable and Carol Lombard, which is another aspect of the story. It's difficult to decide what to keep in and what to leave out of a script.
