Hello all. I’ve been here a while but not posted in a long time. I’m Blaine Rincon, and residing in Kennesaw, Ga. I’ve recently published a short novella Called “ Out of Favor: The Traveler”. First draft completed in Oct 2019, but not published until Mar 2020. Ironically it’s starts off with a worldwide Pandemic. But the story is about a man surviving in a decimated world, not the pandemic. I’ve also started a short film based off the main character . Last portion of filming was to be in Mar 2020 but now pushed back due to the ... well...the worldwide pandemic. It’s a strange world we live in. I’ve also appeared in several short films: “Happy Hour” ( on YouTube), “Honeybun Runner”, and a supporting role in the upcoming indie feature film “Fisher” (due out in Oct 2020). Once we resume normal life I hope to get a chance for more roles. But it makes me re-think the story I’m currently working on about the collapse of a nation. This prophetic thing gets a little creepy.

Hey Blaine Rincon Great to have you back and posting! Your work is definitely timely. Have you thought of developing the novella into a feature or series? IP is huge right now and this could be tapping into something very relevant.
The short film I’m doing is based off the character of the novella. It’s more of a prequel of the person leading up to what he becomes in the story. Doing a feature of of the novella is certainly something I’ve thought of, but that take a lot more funding and filming experience than what I have available. But as an actor, I write like I see myself in the moment, what the character is seeing and how I would approach it visually. All in all the storyline was very exciting to write as I always felt I was there as I wrote, seeing it like it was a scene from a movie.
