Hello! I have been signed up to the Stage32 platform for a hot minute now, but I apparently haven’t posted yet! My primary career path is a software engineer and game developer, but I also discovered some time ago that I have an affinity for film and cinematography. I want to maybe combine the two and use Unreal Engine for animated films. I have already learned so much from the webinars here, so I will be sticking around!

Hey, Aaron Campbell. It's great to meet you. What type of games do you develop?
I checked out your profile and didn't see a bio. I suggest adding a detailed bio. It’ll help you build relationships/network on here. You could add things to your bio like why you started developing games, why you joined the film industry, your accomplishments, your goals, and what movies/shows/games you like.

Hey Aaron Campbell - it's great to see a long-time member step out and introduce yourself. It's great to meet you. The Unreal engine is such an amazing creative canvas. Do you have ideas or scripts for the animated films you want to make?

Maurice Vaughan Thank you! I do have some catching up to do, for sure. I don’t have any accomplishments in film or anything yet because I’m just starting out, that’s why I joined here, to kinda see how things work and learn more. Ultimately I just like creating visual stories.
Sam Sokolow I have a few ideas so far regarding some short stories, but no scripts just yet. Had to take a break to handle an ongoing health crisis with my kid. He’s getting better now so I am trying to get back into the learning process.
You're welcome, Aaron Campbell. Sorry to hear about your kid's health crisis. I'm glad he's getting better!

Hey Geoff Hall ! Sorry for the late reply, been focusing on a job hunt lately. As for film-based projects, I am toying with Unreal Engine 5.4 again and trying to get some little short films thought out, as well as a short game. While I have ideas, I feel like I really need to learn more before I set forth on the storylines, like figuring out a 3 Act Structure for something that'll probably only be 6-8 minutes long, but also figuring out motion capture and LiveLink (I need a DIY option to wear my phone in front of my face).

Aaron Campbell Hi Aaron, How did the job hunt go? Not that you’ve asked for advice, but I’ll jump in. I wouldn’t be too focused on the 3 Act Structure for a 6-8 minute film. Let your story inform the structure. Anyway, please feel free to ignore it. I wish you well with it all.
