Introduce Yourself : Meriem Bouziani/ SCIFISPY by Meriem Bouziani

Meriem Bouziani

Meriem Bouziani/ SCIFISPY

Hello everyone, I hope you’re doing well.

My name is Meriem Bouziani. I am a primary school teacher and a sci-fi screenwriter in the making from Morocco.

Right now, I’m focusing on The Silent PFC War—a science-fiction warning about our internet and knowledge exposure, and how that could literally cost us our minds.

The concept was rated 8.1 by ChatGPT O3, and I’m still learning the craft so I can shape it into a pitch-ready script. I’m also very excited to receive professional insights into my work.

Logline: When an alien-engineered gas regresses humanity to the mindset of six-year-olds, rebel aliens join forces with imprisoned ISS astronauts to restore global intelligence before a hidden genocide plan is triggered.

My next major project will be The De-Evolution Game, a Mr. Nobody–style story where Daro, a sentient AI, keeps spawning new parallel universes every time he makes a decision while trying to solve his planet’s environmental crisis.

I’m also developing The Disabled Puzzle, which explores the lived experience of blindness, deafness, and autism through different scientific simulations.

I hope to share this work with disability-awareness associations, because I believe true empathy comes from deeply understanding the symptoms and struggles of these conditions.

And the list doesn’t end there — The Time Machine Error, The New Evolution, The Eclipsians, The Pre-Birth Myth, The Great Cosmic Sacrifice, and many more worlds are waiting their turn.

I never imagined becoming part of the cinematic world, but my ideas pushed me onto this path. They thrust me into the challenge of learning and growing — and it’s worth it.

Every time I imagine the possible impact my stories could have, and how they might appear on the big screen one day, I keep moving forward. Even when everything feels hard, I learn and continue.

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Meriem Bouziani. Hope you’re doing well too. Incredible story titles and unique concepts! I'm looking forward to watching them, especially The Silent PFC War!

Meriem Bouziani

Thank you very much for your support Maurice Vaughan

I really hope I can make it one day.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Meriem Bouziani. Do you come up with your titles before writing scripts or after?

Meriem Bouziani

I usually develop titles while shaping the concept, or whenever I find the first spark. Each time something inspires me, the titles come as well — and sometimes I take title inspiration from ChatGPT. As for scripts, The Silent PFC War will be my first screenplay.”Maurice Vaughan

Maurice Vaughan

Congratulations on starting your first screenplay, Meriem Bouziani! I can't remember my first one.

Meriem Bouziani

You could probably find it among your older work. The Silent PFC War is my first script, but it isn’t my first sci-fi idea.

The very first one was The Cosmic Blood Connection — I wrote it as a short story in Arabic when I was fourteen, and last year I developed it further. Maurice Vaughan

Meriem Bouziani I love the themes you explore in your work! Especially the first one, love love love it. Our human minds are so brilliant, we are so capable of so much, but like these themes, we are threatened with so many "helps", "technological add ons"…like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the scene where Indiana is speaking with the Knight Templar, and needs to choose the correct cup, in order to save his father, to drink from the fountain of youth. "You must choose…wisely."

Maurice Vaughan

It was on my old computer, Meriem Bouziani. Thanks for the idea though.

That's impressive! I wrote a short story in elementary school, but it was a class project. I wrote my first short story on my own at 13. It was kinda like Dexter.

Meriem Bouziani

Thank you very much for your encouragement. Juliana Philippi

Neuroscience themes are my favorite—always.

I have many ideas about manipulating the human brain, but The Silent PFC War will probably always be the strongest one.

Meriem Bouziani

That’s great — school exercises can sometimes help you discover who you are and uncover hidden talents. Maurice Vaughan

It was the same for me. It all started as a simple school writing exercise, but it helped me realize I had this talent.

I’m always grateful to my teacher for helping me discover it.

Meriem, welcome to Stage 32! What an incredible introduction. Your passion for science fiction and storytelling with purpose absolutely shines through.

I'm particularly struck by The Disabled Puzzle. Using scientific simulations to create genuine empathy and understanding for lived experiences of disability is not just compelling storytelling...it's storytelling with social impact. That kind of project could resonate deeply with both audiences and advocacy organizations.

You've got an ambitious slate of ideas, which is wonderful. My advice as you continue developing: focus on getting one script to a professional, pitch-ready level before spreading across too many projects. Master the craft on one story, and that foundation will make every subsequent project stronger and faster to develop.

I’m truly happy that my ideas resonate this much.

I’m still learning screenwriting, and right now I’m putting all my focus on The Silent PFC War.

As for my other story, The Disabled Puzzle, here is an article about it:

The book explores a scientific plan to develop new forms of disability awareness.

It begins with Dr. Mary Alivan, a neuroscientist working in memory research, who develops a groundbreaking “Memory Helmet” with her team.

Catherine represents deafness. Her curiosity springs from her deep love of Beethoven’s music—she always wondered how he could compose such masterpieces despite being deaf.

Rozane’s experiment focuses on blindness, exploring the long-term effects of neuroplasticity through three experimental stages.

Marianna experiences the real suffering of autism through a virtual-reality simulation. She is seventeen yet feels as if she were six—her mind deceived by the early phase of the experiment.

Heidi confronts social discrimination caused by her facial disfigurement, sharing the emotional weight of living under constant judgment.

Rasha’s case offers a futuristic perspective on medical treatments for congenital disfigurement, imagining how advanced science might restore both form and dignity.

The final chapters remind readers of the profound gap between scientific experimentation and the lived realities of those with disabilities.

This book seeks to awaken compassion, critical reflection, and social transformation—a call to end bullying and build a safer, more empathetic world.
