Hope everyone on here is having a great start to the Memorial Day weekend...I'm still searching for a screenplay writer in my network or on Stage 32 to collaborate with me on a Netflix bound TV series...a forgotten ancient Gospel written by the mother of Jesus prompts a young peasant girl during the 14th century Black plague to become a Templar knight in a quest for the Grail...a character driven action adventure drama with historical/religious overtones...I have a full treatment and pitch deck...think Dan Brown meets Peter Jackson...only more controversial!
Welcome! Interesting project and theme!
Thanks Tasha
Cool project Frank Detrano .
I have two concepts that are very very similar, Frank (see Hospitaller and Her Temple Forest on my loglines page). We definitely think alike! I think adding the Grail story is maybe overkill for your concept. There' already a lot there. I'm excited for your project! Feel free to message me through Stage32 if you'd like to do a script swap!
Thank you Martin & Sarah
Frank Detrano Nice to have you as a part of the community! I love your project and that's great that you already have materials created for it.

... or she could become the queen of Jerusalem (no grail, as Sarah also suggested). I assume you would like this to reach NF eventually, but are working on spec for now. It sounds fun, and since I published a bunch of books on Byzantine history (meaning I was the editor/publisher, not the writer), I have some sense of the period.

Christiane...actually the time frame is the 14th century specifically 1347 in the first year of the Black Death and in the midst of the ongoing persecution of the Templars by the Pope and King of France. The main female protagonist befriends a band of hunted, renegade knights along with an outcast secular friar. If that interests you, lets talk some more.
I want to thank everyone for their feedback. I've posted ideas before on this site so I appreciate your comments and suggestions. I guess the series has "legs"
I’m interested. Have a good handle on history of the time period.
You say "a Netflix bound TV series" - does that mean it's been picked up?
That's the destination, John. I just need to map out the road.
Ah... Good luck! Keep us posted!
