I'm a very new writer that has recently been struck with a ton of varying ideas, one of them is going to be set in a world following the recent development of teleportation. I was wondering if any other writers would be interested in working with me on writing up a series over the next few months. Feel free to reach out if you're interested and I'll gladly give some more details, otherwise I could really use some tips on breaking into the industry.

Tim Timbo welcome, new writer! My advice would be to take some webinars on writing/developing series and write it yourself. Take your time and hash out your ideas. Write something and register it. If you have some loose ideas and you get another writer onboard without a clear agreement about who owns what, things could end up getting messy.

Hey, Tim Timbo. Welcome to the community. Here's a blog that'll help you navigate Stage 32: www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-successfully-navigate-the-stage-32-platform-...
I second Maureen's tips (www.stage32.com/education/search?term=Television%20writing).
Here's a blog for up-and-coming screenwriters I suggest checking out: www.stage32.com/blog/the-questions-up-and-coming-screenwriters-need-to-a...
If you do decide to find a co-writer, you could make a post on the Job Board (www.stage32.com/find-jobs).
I suggest putting a bio on your profile. It’ll help you build relationships/network on here. You could add things to your bio like why you became a writer, your accomplishments, your goals, and what shows and movies you like.

Practice. Practice. Practice. Get a journal, sit in a cafe, and write what you see. Read in the genre you are drawn which looks like sci fi. Great sci fi writers are Frank Herbert, Orson Scott Card, Isaac Amimov, Blake Crouch, Kurt Vonegut, Arthur Clark, and Madeline Le'Engle.

Thanks y'all, I appreciate the resources and guidance you've all provided so far and I'm going to read through everything you've offered.
I didn't even know where to start and this at least gave me a starting point.
You're welcome, Tim Timbo. Glad it helps.

Tim Timbo endless ideas are the writer's curse, it seems. It comes down to which one has enough oompf to flush out. Good luck with that process. It's something we all go through. All I can say is you will know when you see it. You might be watching a commercial on a tv show, walking through a grocery store, or waking up at 3AM -- that's when that killer idea will pounce on you. Just make sure to write it down when it does or it's lost. Also, sometimes writing it into a blog on a platform like Medium or Substack -- you'll see if there is enough meat to flush it further.
Anyway, kudos for stepping up and sharing. That's also hard. Glad to have you in our community.
