Introduce Yourself : Ready for a Manager by Brian Gross

Brian Gross

Ready for a Manager

Hi, Stage 32ers!

I'm glad to say, it's been a good year. I won a grand prize. I completed my first screenplay assignment that's being shot in a couple months. And I secured the rights to a musical IP that I'm turning into a good ol' fashioned summer surfing musical.

Now I feel I need a manager. So I'm open to any suggestions, connections, ideas, strategies or just a conversation.

Any thoughts out there? Thank you in advance!

Nitara Osbourne

Congratulations on your successes, Brian! It sounds like you had an amazing year! That’s fantastic! I’m at a point where I need a manager as well. Hopefully we will both find one soon who is the perfect fit for each of us.

Brian Gross

Thanks, Nitara. Just read your profile and you've done well, and you've been much more prolific than I have – congrats. Is your movie still on Netflix? I'll look for it.

Good luck to us!

Nitara Osbourne

Thank you for the kind words, Brian! As of right now, my movie is on Amazon and Tubi. And yes, wishing all the best to us both… and to all creatives out there. ☺️

Congrats Brian, on your scriptwriting assignment. Winning a grand prize in writing is no easy task, they are many excellent writers in the market now in days. I and a friend just recently wrote a satirical sitcom, so I know the level of writing talent is incredible. I'm sure your find a manager if you have your project produced. (CAA maybe or ask a friend in the industry for the best person, with good background).

Brian Gross

Thanks, Richard. I have started asking around, and I'll continue to do so; good advice. ISA is going to help me, too. I've also started researching specific managers to help me figure out what kind of manager would be best for me. It's interesting, because it's also forcing me to figure out what kind of writer I want to be.

Thomas Pollart

Fantastic, congrats Brian, the big talent agencies will not take unsolicited scripts or synopsis, just like the big film studios, obsessed about law suits, so only referrals. As I've suggested before, this site desperately needs a 'Literary & Contract Agents Lounge', for those, as in nearly everyone here on Stage 32, that are seeking contact & representation .

Brian Gross

That would be great, Thomas. I vote "yes."

Richard Encarnacion, Mba, Ph.D.

I'm going to request that stage 32 create a Literary & Contract Agent Lounge, which I did 5 years ago. But I was not very serious, I'll resubmit again.

Brian Gross

Thanks so much, Art Thomas! Very generous of you. Let me look into Eleni and see if I can tell if it's a good fit or not; I don't want to waste your time, or hers. I'll get back to you soon either way.

Also, I looked into Main Man a bit – what happened to Singletrack? I watched a couple of the promo videos and it looks great! Hope it's still alive.

Nitara Osbourne

Thank you for thinking of me, Art Thomas! I will do my due diligence just like Brian Gross. I’ll look into Eleni to see if we could potentially be a good fit for one another as well. I want to respect everyone’s time. But it sure does mean a lot to have a fellow creative be willing to do an introduction. It’s much appreciated. Thank you!

Leonor LeRu

Nice meeting you all! Such a great feeling to be here with everyone! Happy Holidays!!!

Thomas Pollart

Thank you so much Art Thomas, will touch base with you soon after the Christmas weekend, happy holidays all !!
