Hawaiis film Industry could use a boost. We have the best crews and the most beautiful place on the planet with a rich cultural history and indigenous love for the land that Hawaiian people exemplify. I have a terrific project I’ve been working on for many years and a potential film finder who is friend of the family and lives in Pasadena who could help if we have a strong enough team and package. I’m no Steven Spielberg but I’m willing to put my best foot forward and I have a background in script supervising with a former IATSE membership card and now I’m officially retired with a veterans disability pension. How is this all tied into the story and script I am writing and the future projects I’d like to write??? Well let’s just say, we are all interconnected and we are doomed to perfection! In a good way! Nice to meet
You all and have a wonderful day. Life is short.

First and foremost, welcome to the community, Janet Holman. Fantastic to have you and all your energy here. You're going to fit right in.
Very proud to say that the Hawaii Film Commission is one of the 40+ film commissions (so far) who have hired Stage 32 to train and certify below the line talent in Hawaii in support of their incentives and rebates through Stage 32 Certification https://certification.stage32.com/
We're doing what we can to put more people to work in Hawaii and keep them working!

Hi, Janet Holman. Congratulations on retiring! Hawaii is so beautiful! I want to write a script that takes place there after reading your post. What genre(s) is your project?

Thanks Kat.., I am on Oahu either on the east side or in Honolulu. I also manage a Buddhist Temple where I often stay and have a condo on the other side of the island. The project is about Captain James Cook.

Wow! That sounds very interesting. I love Oahu and can't wait to take my kids there. Currently, I'm helping people who enter my world (especially creatives and professionals) to reduce stress and complete their projects. I love helping people overcome creative blocks and I've been book coaching, editing, and proofreading. In addition to that, I'm always doing something musical. I haven't composed anything new in a while, by choice, so that I can focus on getting my current music catalog synced for TV and Film. I just released a new book this week called Puck Protocol: A Rebel's Guide to Master Self-Sabotage. Feel free to message me, I'd love to hear more about your story and script that you're working on.

I’ve been working on nautical music themes lately. I wonder if my compositional style might be a good fit. Here is a link to an example of one for review: https://shawnedonahoo.bandcamp.com/track/dark-tide-rising
