Hey, everyone
I’m Debikrupa Nanda — a writer, creator, and obsessive explorer of all things dark, mysterious, and mind-bending. I’m from Odisha, a place where ancient myths, temple shadows, sea winds, and stories are everywhere… so it’s no surprise that I ended up writing the kind of tales that mix psychology, mythology, and technology into one cinematic universe.
If you ever catch me zoning out, I’m probably rewatching Dark, Mindhunter, True Detective, Sherlock, or falling into another Christopher Nolan or David Fincher rabbit hole.
And on the anime side? I worship at the altars of Ufotable, MAPPA, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, and Attack on Titan.
Basically, if a story hits hard, looks stunning, and plays with your brain — I’m in.
What I Write
I’m obsessed with the genre of psychological investigative thrillers — the kind of stories where:
- clues aren’t just clues
- the villain might be a reflection
- and the mind is the real crime scene
It’s where I feel most alive creatively.
Give me shadows, guilt, mysteries, mythic symbols, and I’ll give you a story.
My Latest Project
Right now, I’m working on The Mirror Code — a dark, atmospheric thriller set in a futuristic Delhi.
Logline:
When a sentient guilt-consuming intelligence awakens inside Delhi’s justice system, a brilliant legal hacker must confront a digital god born from his own forgotten creation — before it devours both the city and him.
Tone: Noir, cerebral, atmospheric
Keywords: AI, myth, psychology, crime investigation, symbolism, guilt, Vedic archetypes
Format: Novel + Screenplay adaptation in development
Looking for Creative Allies
I’m actively looking for:
- Producers & filmmakers who love psychological thrillers
- Animators & studios who vibe with Ufotable/MAPPA-level storytelling
- Writers & editors who want to collaborate or exchange ideas
- Anyone passionate about building big narrative worlds in India
I’m constantly learning, experimenting, breaking things, rebuilding them, and trying to become a better author + screenwriter every day.
If you vibe with dark storytelling, mythic symbolism, sharp emotions, or cinematic writing — let’s connect. I’d love to build something powerful together.

You're welcome, Debikrupa Nanda. You could post your scripts on your profile. Producers search profiles for projects. That and networking are how I sold four short scripts to a producer. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your scripts on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)

Happy IYW, Debikrupa Nanda! That is a beautiful combination you’re working with; mythology and technology can be hard to weave together, but when done well, it creates something truly amazing.

Your influences alone tell me you've got great taste: Dark, Mindhunter...? Love it.
The Mirror Code sounds exciting. The fact that you're developing both novel and screenplay formats is smart. IP is everything. And Each medium will teach you different aspects of storytelling craft.
