can the FADE IN: go to the right side of the page?

Hey there, this is Nicholas P, and I know I'm early with introducing myself but I'm doing it because I enjoy writing. I have a question as well; does it matter where the FADE IN: goes?

Maurice Vaughan

Hey, Nicholas P. I usually see FADE IN: on the left side of the page in spec scripts, but I've also seen it on the right side. I stopped using FADE IN: in my spec scripts, but when I did use it, Final Draft made it go to the right side.

Nicholas P

Normally it’s to the left and I have no idea why it’s changing on me now. But i might have figured out a solution to it @mau

Nicholas P

The solution is clear Maurice Vaughan

Glad you figured out a solution, Nicholas P. What is it?

Nicholas P

I was using a reference to my script and typing fade in under it. So I copied the reference and deleted it after. The fade In stayed at the left and it is fixed

I was having trouble because of a reference but I fixed it Mike Childress

It’s cool Mike Childress but I got it figured out
