Last night I watched this AWESOME video breaking down the evolution of the VFX process used when making The Planet of the Apes reboot franchise and how they approached the VFX for the new Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. It's honestly not my favorite franchise. I think the movies are fun, some I enjoy more than others, but I'm not a super-fan. However, the VFX is incredible and the talent of these artists and crew members is undeniable.
But I want to know all of your thoughts too! How do you feel about the series and the VFX that they've used over the years?

I haven't seen the "Apes" reboot series yet, Ashley Renee Smith, but I've been looking forward to it. I saved this video to watch after I see the first three movies.

Thanks Ashley Renee Smith! It IS, certainly an important subject, as they were able to capture and improve on facial expressions and emotions in their characters, which is basically the most significant essence in captivating a deep sense of connection from an audience. Why and where this is heading? Best description! Actual human characters! How realistic and again "captivating", can this be achieved and how soon?

I might have seen 1st movie.
I watched up to the 30-40 mins part in CGI.
With all the video editing out there, I think it would be hard to tell if it’s CGI or real filmed areas.
