Looking for the right person to pitch

Hi guys,

I have a movie script I want to pitch. Having trouble finding the right person. Any recommendations?

AN HERO

A handsome, wealthy, young man is put to the test in finding his true mission in life after committing suicide.

Andrew J. Hince, also known as An, is a 30-year-old, single, wealthy, smart, self-confident, successful individual who believes in himself and nothing else. During his teenage years, and finally understanding the death of his father, he stopped believing in any higher power to include God, Heaven or Hell. Living as a free man and believing he had everything he needed, he suffers a tragic, near fatal car accident that leaves him not only losing all that he had, but also losing all his body function; except his neck. Being taken care of by his mother and health-aid 24 hours a day, An cannot bear the reality that he is forced to live. Finally, he losses the last bit of hope that he had left; and decides to take his own life. Thinking that once he’s dead, it’ll all be over, but his journey is just about to begin.

Abraham Lopez miles to go before we sleep.

Small note, in my opinion, any story idea to be shared that has a protagonist or character name that is unusual, weird or awkward to pronounce or feels out of context, will tend to put people off unless it's super-innovative;

Naming a character the same word as an indefinite article / part of speech is distracting, seems kind of subversive not in a good way, if you name a character THX 1138 it's cool and interesting, so if you're gonna do something quirky, GO BIG !!

Name a character Marvelous Marcus or Wilhelmina or ... whatever, just don't make it paltry and flat. Just my opinion. It makes it difficult to even read clearly your paragraph above.

Further, to me if a protag has all those groovy attributes listed, they are not relatable, it makes them seem like a compendium of awesomeness with no room to grow.

However, your life-and-death stakes are potentially a powerful story platform, so good luck with this concept going forward !!

It sounds like you want to find someone to pitch, you should pitch your own work. If you are meaning who can I pitch to then as Jack Binder says Stage 32 has tons of opportunities for you.

Abraham Lopez

Thank you, for the input, Jane Sanger. That is actually the plan; to pitch my own work ;)
