OVER - High-Concept Sci-Fi Disaster Epic

LOGLINE

When Earth's magnetic poles shift and a massive solar storm strikes, triggering apocalyptic natural disasters across the globe, a team of scientists races against time to prevent a tech billionaire from exploiting the chaos to seize control of humanity's future.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

"Over" is a high-concept sci-fi disaster epic that combines spectacular global catastrophe with intimate human stories. Set against the backdrop of a geomagnetic excursion that weakens Earth's protective magnetic field, the story follows scientists, visionaries, and everyday people as they navigate both natural disasters and human power struggles.

What sets "Over" apart from typical disaster narratives is its basis in alternative scientific theories about Earth's electromagnetic nature, providing a fresh foundation for the apocalyptic events. The story balances massive spectacle with profound themes of resilience, connection, and the evolution of human consciousness during crisis.

This could work as either a feature film(s) or limited series, "Over" offers an opportunity to create a visually stunning and emotionally resonant story with global appeal.

If it's not already apparent I am new to this industry and have had this story and concept in my head for a couple of years, When my wife walked out on me and took my dog and son with her, I began writing it down. That was Dec 2023, If this is interesting to you hit me up, I have a story bible, a series structure, pitch package and rough pilot storyboards.

Great to meet you, Bob Brazys. Welcome to the community. Sorry to hear your wife walked out and took your dog and son.

Here's a blog that'll help you navigate Stage 32 and connect with creatives and industry professionals: www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-successfully-navigate-the-stage-32-platform-...

OVER sounds thrilling! Do you have a pilot script too?

Bob Brazys

Thanks for the message! Yes I do have a pilot script, but I think I am too new to know what my next move should be

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Bob Brazys. Ok, great. You could post your pilot on your profile. Producers search profiles on here for projects. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your pilot on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)

You could also pitch your series to executives, managers, etc. through Stage 32's Pitch Sessions (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions). The Pitch Sessions are mainly to get feedback on pitches, but members have gotten managers, signed shopping agreements, etc. through the sessions (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/success-stories).

And my biggest tip is to network/build relationships on Stage 32. The blog in my last comment can help. I also suggest checking out this blog: www.stage32.com/blog/the-importance-of-community-and-collaboration-in-th...
