It may happen to all of us that our computer crashes through viruses. Of course you make back ups of your work but I also file my project in my mailbox every time when I have worked on the script. In that way my work is always safe . So, if something happens, you will not lose your project.
I've installed Evernote on my PC, tablet, e-reader and phone. I post my screenplay into an Evernote file. The program is cross platform compatible and syncs all devices, so that I have a copy wherever I go. Handy if someone asks for a copy while I'm not at home. I can email it from any of my devices and it serves as a backup if one of them should crash.
I use Celtx web studio as well as the iPad app. It is saved to the cloud and I immediately sync my iPad for a local copy. From my iPad I can email a txt or PDF copy for a third layer of backup. Anyone reading this remember you can never backup too much.
I´ve never heard of Evernote, Anthony but I check it out. Beside, are you saving it in that way when you´ve finished your script entirely or also when you´re still working on your project and you want to continue the next day.?
You can save your screenplay or a partial work to your computer. I usually save as a PDF if complete or another file format if incomplete, as I'm usually using online script writing software anyway. Then upload my work into Evernote. Once I sync Evernote, I can pull the file up on any device with Evernote installed just by logging into it. Its an archiving/sharing software. It doesn't allow you to work on your script but it will allow you to have a downloadable copy of what you have finished. So if your computer crashes, you won't lose everything. Its also allowed me to print out the latest copy of a screenplay for an impromptu reading while I was traveling.
Okay, I´ll have a look. Thanks

I have all of my screenplays tattooed on my body, just in case.
lol William. I have all my screenplays saved on an implanted chip in my body.
I´ve a Linux system and do not need to install a virus scanner
I've got hundreds of versions of the same script in hundreds of different places. Yes, It's hard for me to finish one as I'm always in a loop!
