Bluecat is also a good competition to enter - Prisoners was a finalist in 2005

The Academy's Nicholl Fellowship competition is still the gold standard in the US as far as leading to representation and two of this year's four winners are from the UK. I've never checked the fine print on nationality, but I think scripts only need to be in English. Here's the link: http://www.oscars.org/nicholl
