I have recently begun “listening” to my script. Most screenwriting apps have some kind of tool where you can hear your script. It’s not quite the same as a table read but it really helps. If your app doesn’t have that, most computers have a read aloud function that you can get to with accessibility options. It amazes me how helpful it is. (It’s also good for catching typos.)
I do table reads for every single feature I write, and often very early in the process, straight after the first draft. It's a great networking opportunity, it's awesome get get eyes on the thing as early as possible, and it's hugely important to have real voices "play" your characters. If you want, I can share some of the reads with you via DM, if you're interested to see what it could look like
I would appreciate that Ronika. Thank you.
I had no idea. Thanks for the tip!
Steven, I'm taking your advice and listening to "Andrea." (To quote Arte Johnson: "Ver-ry inter-resting!")
Thanks for the tip...and all the VERY BEST to you!
Amazing tip. I have been doing it for years (Dyslexia). Typos are my default. Never thought to share this. Well done Steven.

Yeah! A writing friend recently told me about this. Huge help on the hard to find typos that u don't see because u have read it fifty times and gloss over or actors fix when doing the table read.
