The John Wick franchise has become one of the most beloved and successful action film series at the moment. With a spin-off in the works, Ballerina, the franchise will continue with more additions.
The neo-noir action thriller series premiered in 2014. In just over a decade, it has featured four films in the original film series, an upcoming spin-off film, and a television series. Per Variety, Lionsgate treated fans to a surprise at CinemaCon Las Vegas on Tuesday morning, confirming that highly-anticipated John Wick 5 is officially happening, Keanu Reeves is set to return, and no, this is not an April Fools' joke.
Reeves will reprise his role as John Wick in the upcoming spin-off Ballerinabefore making his way back to John Wick 5. The film will bring back director and producer Chad Stahelski and Thunder Road producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee. There are no other details about John Wick 5's plot details, returning cast members, or production timeline.
Keanu, Chad, Basil, and Erica would not return unless they had something truly phenomenal and fresh to say with these characters.

Franchise producers Iwanyk and Lee added, "It’s so important to get this story right and give John’s story the proper next step. It’s exciting to take the first step on that road."
The studio further detailed other projects in the action franchise, the previously announced animated prequel film, and also the Caine-centric standalone film from director-star Donnie Yen, both of which have been in talks for a few years. The untitled Caine film begins production in Hong Kong later this year.

I love this franchise, and the fact that Keanu continues to do most of his own action scenes and fighting. Since The Matrix, his film fighting skills and gunplay skill has really leveled up!

Mark Deuce It’s always exciting to see a franchise succeed because it understands exactly what its audience wants: clear stakes, incredible action, and a character people love to root for. The John Wick universe has done such a great job of expanding its world without losing sight of its core appeal.

I will never, ever get tired of John Wick Mark Deuce. I'm really looking forward to Ballerina. There's also an animated version of John Wick in the works.
