I'm moving out to LA at the end of this month and I was wondering if anyone knew of any writers meet ups or writers groups I could possibly join?

Depending on where you settle in the LA basin,; there are lots of writer's groups. There will probably be one next door to wherever you are. Whether they are any good is another matter.
