Nordic horror movie already hailed 'one of best films of decade so far' is out soon

Now, this is more like it!!

The Ugly Stepsister, a Norwegian body-horror film described as "stomach-churning", now has an official release date. The film is the brainchild of Emilie Blichfeldt, who both wrote and directed it, and introduces Lea Myren, known for her role as Maya in NRK's drama series Jenter.

The horror flick also features Thea Sofie Loch Næss, recognized for her role in The Last Kingdom, and Ane Dahl Torp from The Wave. Screenrant has already given the movie a commendable score of eight out of ten.

Autostraddle hailed it as "one of the best horror films of the decade so far", while ScreenDaily dubbed it "a stylish, graphic fairytale riff". As for when you can catch it, the film will hit US cinemas from April 18 and UK cinemas from April 25.
