This week 1, I achieved my first goal: Write The Misstep ( my screenplay) Act 1 with 25 pages and a cold open :)) I am really happy. Now, next week the challenge will be giant :)) Let me know about you :)) Share with me. Together, we are more strong.

Hey, Sandra Isabel Correia. Happy FriYAY! Congratulations on reaching your goal! I did this week’s challenges, and I'm on page 67 of a script draft I'm rewriting. Some of the scenes were challenging, but I was surprised that some of the scenes were pretty easy.

Happy FriYAY my friend. I am so happy for you Maurice Vaughan, in two days you rewrite more than 30 pages and at the end the week with 67 pages, WOW! Congratulations for challenging that scenes and being surprised by yourself. Ready to Week 2?

Happy Friday! And congratulations to both you and Maurice for your progress! Maurice, that's massive progress on the rewrite!
And Sandra, great job knocking out act 1!
I did complete all the week 1 tasks for the challenge.
And I am so glad to say I've completed writing my feature film "Tethered" (it was nearly done when I set the goal) and have done two rounds of revisions mostly on description and pace. Now all that remains for it is small tweaks and fine tuning after being read. She sits in the hands of my non industry beta readers now.
I also got my Bible and pilot mapped out for a new series - a one hour experimental piece called "Marrow Creek" (working title).
All in all, I'm happy with my progress. I'm ready for week 2.

Elle Bolan, this is incredible , congratulations!
Finishing Tethered and getting through two rounds of revisions is no small feat, especially with such thoughtful attention to description and pacing. I love that it’s now in the hands of your beta readers, that’s such an exciting stage!
And Marrow Creek sounds fascinating, a one-hour experimental series? I’m already intrigued. Mapping out the Bible and pilot in Week 1 is serious momentum.
Thank you for sharing your wins and for being such a motivating force in the Lounge. I’m so glad you’re part of this challenge. Bring on Week 2!

Y'all don't be too impressed now - mending a broken foot means I have lots of time on my hands. All the time in the world when you're not supposed to walk if you can help it. I'm taking full advantage while I can!

Sorry to hear about your broken foot, Elle Bolan. I hope it heals fast!

Hi, Sandra. Congrats on finishing Act 1 of your script! And Elle and Maurice, congrats on your progress!
I completed the challenges. My goal for this week started out as submitting an animation pilot to an OWA but was substituted by creating a pitch deck for a drama feature. I accomplished that goal and was both surprised and excited with how the deck turned out.

Happy Friday to all!!
I managed to complete few scenes of my Act 3. Now I am left with very few. Then I'll start rewriting very soon.........

Hey Sandra Isabel Correia congrats on finishing Act 1 and congrats to everyone on all their progress thus far. I've completed the first week's tasks and after following Maurice Vaughan''s outline template I finally completed the beat sheet etc for the new draft. My head is in a good space and I'm now doing a reverse outline for the two existing drafts before working on revisions and merging them.

Congratulations on completing Week 1's tasks, Marie Hatten! Glad the outline template helped!

Thanks Maurice Vaughan . After reading your template, and many many examples on Save the cat something just clicked. I honestly find these "foreign to me screenwriting terms and practices" so daunting but they needn't be.

You're welcome, Marie Hatten. You're right. They don't need to be. I hope you have a great Week 2 of November Write Club!

This week (specifically today) I hit 40 pages for BoFS so I’m already almost at my goal of 60 pages for this month. To be honest I almost wanna try to finish it this month altogether lol but I’ll pace myself regardless :) today was pretty productive altogether because as I was driving to my boyfriend’s house I realised I also know what SiR (Sonata in Retrograde, aka Part 5)’s general plot is and it turns out it’s not the end after all lol. So Finding Elpis will, in fact, be a feature hexalogy/eventual TV series. Best part is that before I even started writing BoFS I knew there would be a part 5, and now that I’m not even halfway through it, I know there’s a part 6 :)

Wow Dejaun Lillie, I love how we shift our goals and get so excited about them. Creating a pitch deck is one of my favorite items of a screenplay package. I am rooting for you.

Thank you Sandra Isabel Correia, yup, the idea of a part 6 has been flirting with me for a good little while but of course I resisted, and now it’s actually gonna happen xD luckily the plot I have in mind for it is perfectly in keeping with the rest of the series though it’ll be a little tricky to pull off (I won’t spoil but the core idea is actually in real life, and will as a result be the band’s biggest challenge). Nonetheless I’m excited. I’m cooking up characters and general plot for SiR as we speak, getting ahead of myself as I do, and also figuring out how I wanna do part 6 (henceforth known as Curtain Call Encore, or CCE). Little by little the end is nearing :3

Sandra Isabel Correia I did it! I completed my outline, and today I begin my script, title is formalized, and found new touchstones to reference for tone and atmosphere.

Thanks so much Sandra Isabel Correia can’t believe I won. Sadly do not have a completed script to pitch , but I’ll absolutely utilize the free year of Arc studio.

I am happy for that, Darrell Pennington. I have been a Stage 32 member since 2023, and for me, it is my home. I've grown here as a filmmaker, and there's no one like this community.
