My main goal for November Write Club is finish rewriting my Horror Action feature script. I’ve already done two drafts of the script during Write Club. I’m thinking of ways to make my script stand out when I start pitching it, like coming up with a unique social media pitch campaign. It'll be like a movie campaign but for a script. We’ll see how it goes!
And something I do that helps me persevere when the industry feels slow/competitive is keep working on projects instead of focusing on those things.
Check out Week 3’s blog for NWC (www.stage32.com/blog/november-write-club-week-3-how-to-make-a-strong-fir...). Write Club can help you reach a goal(s), it’s a chance to connect with writers, directors, producers, etc., and you can get support for your projects.
Do the challenges in today's blog, and you’ll be entered to win this week’s prizes.
– 1 FREE Stage 32 Executive Pitch Session
– 1 FREE Arc Studio Pro Annual License
– 1 FREE Pilot or Feature Script Coverage
And at the end of the month, one Grand Prize Winner gets a Lifetime Arc Studio Pro License!

Hey Maurice! I throw myself into the work too. That's the best way to stay focused on driving yourself forward. Just focus on the work.

Hi Maurice, big apple comic con, it's my favorite in NY

Hey, Elle Bolan! I think that's the best thing to do. It's easy to get discouraged by what's going on in the industry or rant, but it's better to focus on a project(s).

Cool, Billy Kwack. Do indie comic book publishers show up at that con?

If you're writing horror, you really got your work cut out for you making your script stand out. This is supposed to be the eery creepy genre but it's become so commonplace from lack of writers' imagination that it's becoming tedious.

Hey, Marc Ginsburg. I'm not worried about that at all. This concept and the scenes are unique and exciting! Some of the scenes are scary, but my script has a lot of action. What's your goal for November Write Club or what's your writing goal for the rest of the year?

Let me know what comics you get, Billy Kwack. I'm trying to figure out a new screenplay story about a con.

Good going Maurice Vaughan . Yes , you are right. Silently working on your project with all positivity is the best thing to do and ignore other stress and negative thoughts in the mind.

Thanks, Priya Mistry. You're right. And focusing on the industry feeling slow/competitive can slow down or stop a project.
