Room no. 17

Title:Room No. 17

Setting: kota , Rajasthan – a bustling hub for JEE aspirants, filled with coaching centers, dusty streets, and the quiet intensity of student life.

Protagonist: Arjun, an 18-year-old JEE aspirant, determined yet emotionally fragile, living in a small rented room.

Premise:

Arjun spends his days shuttling between grueling coaching classes and his tiny, dimly lit room in Sikar. The film explores the stark contrast between his solitary life in the room and the fleeting moments of joy he experiences outside with his friends. Inside Room No. 17, Arjun battles loneliness, pressure, and a flood of suppressed emotions—random bursts of laughter, sudden tears, and quiet stares at the wall. Outside, with his friends at a roadside chai stall or during a rare break, he’s lively, cracking jokes, and momentarily free. The story builds toward a subtle revelation: the room is both his prison and his sanctuary, reflecting the chaotic inner world of a young dreamer chasing a relentless goal.

I’m a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. I wanted to let you know I moved your post from the Screenwriting Lounge to the Your Stage Lounge because it’s promotion. Promotion can go in the Your Stage Lounge and on Your Wall.

You can put promotion in a main Lounge (Screenwriting Lounge, Filmmaking/Directing Lounge, Producing Lounge, etc.) if your post starts a conversation that’s helpful or educational to the community, like asking for advice on selling a script if you post in the Screenwriting Lounge.

You can also put promotion in one of the main Lounges if you're asking for feedback.

Let me know if you have any questions.
