If you’re looking for cheaper screenwriting software than Final Draft, check out today’s blog. Mary Helen Norris talks about the different screenwriting programs she’s used over the years. www.stage32.com/blog/screenwriting-software-to-use-if-you-cant-afford-fi...

This is a great post! I’m always telling beginning writers to save their money, FD isn’t worth it.

In fact, if you want free, Trelby for PC and Beat for Mac are available.

Thanks, Mike Boas. I'll check out Trelby.

Thanks Mike Boas!

I think I wrote my first script on WriterDuet, Scott.

I'm currently using and am quite pleased with scrite, developed by a code shop in bollywood, providing excellent support with responses by developers usually in 24-36 hours, using a discord channel and online tutorials (video and written).

I previously used KitScenarist, now rebranded as STARC.

Hi, Hugh Esco. Welcome to the community. I'll check out scrite. Thanks.

Stage 32 had a live Community Open House recently. It'll also help you navigate Stage 32 and connect with creatives and industry pros. You can watch the recording here: www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32-july-community-open-house

I suggest adding a profile picture of yourself and a detailed bio to your profile. People will feel more comfortable networking and collaborating with you if they know what you look like. And if you have a picture, your profile will show up when someone searches for you. A detailed bio will help you build relationships/network on here. You could add things to your bio like why you became a writer, your accomplishments, your goals, and what movies and shows you like.

You can upload a picture by clicking the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and selecting “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu, then clicking the red button underneath your location and choosing "Update profile picture."
