Introduce Yourself : Seeking sci-fi screenwriter to collaborate on physics-driven concept (novel draft done) by Scott Moser

Seeking sci-fi screenwriter to collaborate on physics-driven concept (novel draft done)

Hi everyone – I’m Scott, an engineer and real estate/energy developer based in Kentucky. Most of my career has been spent designing and delivering large industrial and data-infrastructure projects.

About twenty years ago I came up with a science-fiction idea built around physics and information theory: an ancient information network beneath our feet and what happens if humanity learns how to “knock” on it. Life, kids, and career pushed it aside, but the idea never really left.

Now that I’m an empty-nester with a bit more headspace, I finally decided to get the story out of my head. I’m very comfortable with systems, models, and plausibility, less so with prose. To turn my old notes and framework into something readable, I used ChatGPT as a drafting partner and now have a complete novel set in this world. The underlying concept, worldbuilding, and “rules of the physics” are mine; the AI helped with wording and structure.

I’m looking for an experienced screenwriter who enjoys ideas-driven sci-fi (more Contact / Arrival than space opera) and might be interested in:

– stress-testing the premise,

– re-outlining it for screen (feature or limited series), and

– potentially co-writing a script based on the material.

This is exploratory, not a formal job posting. If the concept resonates with you, I’d be happy to share a synopsis and the novel draft privately and see if there’s a fit. Feel free to DM me here on Stage 32.

Thanks, Maurice – appreciate the welcome and the pointers.

I’m brand new to Stage 32, so this helps a lot. I’ll dig into the blog and the November Write Club and will look at putting a separate collaboration post on the Job Board for the sci-fi project.

Thanks again for taking the time to redirect me.
