Hi all!,
Due to my strict financial situation I need to sell my feature film plot urgently. First of all, I want to learn that is it possible to sell a feature film plot without actual screenplay text. If that is possible, how can I sell my plot, in which channel or through which ways? My terrible financial situation pushed me on this way. I am always having notes and sketches of the feature film ideas in my mind. Whenever I find a chance to write them down actually, I am doing that. But while you are struggling with many ways of financial and social problems, it is a bit hard to continue on that way to be honest.
Well, I am a writer as well aside of my actual profession which is architecture and I have a published short story book in Turkey, which contains 12 short stories in mystery and horror genres. Each story passing in Istanbul, so they have local, cultural and social references, but they can convertible and adaptable to international feature projects. All of the stories translated to English as well.
I know that, this post may be a bit misdirected from the actual topics of the forum but I desperately need help to get out from this tight situation and there is nothing I have to sell but my ideas and imaginative products.
I hope this post find you well and you will interest to help me.
Thanks in advance and best regards to all.

Hi, Murat Ersahin. Sorry to hear about the financial and social problems. Congratulations on publishing your book! What's the link to it?
I've heard of writers selling scripts with just treatments, but they're really successful writers. You might be able to sell your script with just a treatment. It depends on networking and the concept.
You could check Stage 32's Job Board for jobs (www.stage32.com/find-jobs). It gets updated regularly.
And it's Stage 32's November Write Club. It can help you reach a goal(s), it's a chance to connect with writers, directors, producers, etc., and you can get support for your goal and projects. You need to write the script. my friend. Then the logline, synopsis, treatment, budget, etc. It takes time but that is what you should do. Check out on youtube SETESH 2025-a full feature that followed that path, complete to final version.

Maurice Vaughan Thank you Maurice. My book published in Turkish. I personally translate the stories in English and keeping them in PDF version. If you would like to read I can share one of them with you to get your opinion. Just let me know.
You're welcome, Murat Ersahin. I have a lot of scripts and books to read, so it might take a while to read Turkey. I'll let you know when I can read your book. I bookmarked your profile.

Selling is horribly difficult. I have created 3 no-budget TV-movies, which means that I am one of the most experienced persons here. I have even won a prize as best director. And I still find it difficult to sell a script.

Yes and yes Goran. Unless you have connections. Then they come to the well over and over again.
