I am confused about what to expect from doing Stage 32 pitches to industry professionals, either written or live. Obviously you get feedback on what things you can do to improve your project, which is always helpful. But should we expect that 1) somebody would actually want to pick up your project or at least learn more about it, OR 2) are these just "practice pitches" for some illusory future "real" pitch to some film executive? Any general advice out there would be appreciated.

Hi, HJ Lawrence. The main purpose of the Pitch Sessions is to get feedback to improve your pitch, but sometimes the executives, managers, etc. will request scripts, sign writers, etc. (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/success-stories).

Thanks Maurice for your quick response. But if the main purpose is to improve your pitch, what is the next step? What/when is the "real" pitch?
You're welcome, HJ Lawrence. I'm thinking that happens during the pitch meeting if a member gets a meeting request.
