With experience ranging from literary management to animation development and with over 200 pitches reviewed on Stage 32, Evan Anglin delivers one of the most comprehensive breakdowns of what truly works and what doesn’t in a modern Hollywood pitch.
"I'm not looking for reasons to pass. I'm looking for reasons to say yes. I want to find a script I can champion, a writer I can develop, a project I can get made. And yes, I'm actively looking to sign writers from Stage 32. I've heard some phenomenal pitches on this platform, and I know there are more out there." - Evan Anglin
An invaluable read for any creator aiming to pitch with confidence and clarity. This is a masterclass-level perspective from a creator who genuinely champions new voices.https://www.stage32.com/blog/november-write-club-week-4-the-art-of-the-p...
Every November Write Club isn’t just an exercise in participation; it’s a way to practice the mindset Evan describes. The mindset that tells a manager: This is a writer I want to invest in.

You could share: Why you wrote your current script, one meaningful question you’d ask a manager if you had a meeting tomorrow, what you’re doing to strengthen your confidence and preparation, or use this space the way you’d use a pitch room — to show your voice, your passion, and your curiosity.

Thanks, Maurice Vaughan! I appreciate that. I’ve got a busy week ahead, so I’m locked in and pushing to hit these goals. Same to you, hope you crush everything you’re working on this week.
You're welcome, Dwayne Williams 2. Thanks. I just turned my Crime Drama short script (Where's my Daughter?) into a Sci-Fi Mystery Thriller. I'm gonna do another rewrite on it today. I also started writing another short script today. It's the script I outlined yesterday. Have a great week!

You’re right — NWC is such a great opportunity to practice how to pitch.
We write posts and train ourselves to express the same thoughts about our inspiration, our identity, and how to speak freely and confidently about our stories.
We memorize those ideas, and little by little we gain the confidence to deliver them in pitch sessions.
